EKO HOT BLOG reports that Femi Otedola generously donated a sum of 750 million Naira to support the students of Augustine University in Ilara Epe, Lagos State.
The renowned business tycoon and philanthropist assumed the role of Chancellor at the institution’s official inauguration on October 26.
The inauguration, held as part of Augustine University’s 5th Convocation ceremony, was graced by the presence of Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins, the Catholic Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Lagos.
After his inauguration, Otedola donated N1million each to 750 students of Augustine University.
Sharing photos from the ceremony, he wrote: “Today, I was officially inaugurated as the Chancellor of Augustine University. I strongly believe in transforming establishments that I am associated with.
“Therefore, to commemorate my appointment and in recognition of the harsh economic situation in our country, I gave a gift of One Million to each of the Seven Hundred and Fifty Students. I hope this donation of Seven Hundred and Fifty Million Naira assists the plight of the parents of our students in this difficult time.”
