FFK Backs Yahaya Bello’s Presidency Bid, Says Nigeria Needs Strong & Decisive Leadership

A former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has thrown his weight behind the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, to emerge the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 general elections.

Fani-Kayode, in a tweet via his verified twitter handle, argued that the North-Central Zone has never produced a democratically-elected president, saying that the idea that the geopolitical zone should settle for another position is absurd.

He tweeted: “The idea that Gov. Yahaya Bello should not run for the Presidency & that the NC zone, which has never produced a democratically-elected President,ought to settle for another position is absurd. Nigeria needs strong & decisive leadership, a generational change & a bridge-builder.”

Recall that Fani-Kayode had, in 2018 while reacting to a statement made by the Kogi Governor, wrote on twitter: “When I wrote that this boy was a useful idiot and an accursed slave some said I was being harsh. Truth is that he is worse than that. His mental faculties are non-functional.”

Some twitter users have however reacted to the recent tweet with some quoting former President Obasanjo who had said about Fani-Kayode that if given food, “he will praise and sing for you.”
