FG Has Failed To Protect Nigerians, Northern Governors Need To Protect The Citizens- NEF

The Northern Elders Forum (NEF), has issued a damning verdict on the Federal Government for its inability to protect the Nigerians.

The Group’s director of Publicity made a statement concerning the current insecurity situation face the country, especially the northern region.

Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed reportedly made the statement when reacting to the recent kidnapping of school students in Zamfara State, where is asked that the governors, especially those from the region device constitutional ways to protect the citizens.

He lamented that, ‘’Nigerians had lost faith that the government will reverse the hold of criminals over defenseless citizens.’’

Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed went on to ask that the people be more vigilant as he expresses worry that the current trend of mass kidnapping of students, may affect the already low level of education in the region.
