A fire outbreak occurred on Friday afternoon near a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) station in the Badia Railway area of Apapa, Lagos State.
The blaze was reported to have started around 12:35 p.m. close to the Plank Market, located directly behind the LPG gas station. The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that confirming the incident, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) said emergency responders had been deployed to the scene. The agency explained that its personnel were assisting in directing motorists away from the affected area to ensure safety and ease of movement.
“Report of a fire outbreak at Badia Railway, near the Plank Market, behind the LPG gas station. Firefighters and other emergency responders are already on the scene carrying out rescue operations. Our personnel are also on ground to manage and facilitate traffic flow around the affected area,” LASTMA stated on X.

As of press time, firefighters and other emergency agencies were still battling the flames and conducting rescue operations. No casualties had been confirmed.
