Fire Destroys Governor’s Aide’s Warehouse in Ibadan, Millions Lost

Fire Destroys Governor’s Aide’s Warehouse in Ibadan

A devastating fire has destroyed the warehouse of Hon. Tallest Innocent, the Senior Special Assistant on Community Relations (Igbo Community) to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State. The incident occurred on Saturday evening at his wholesale distribution centre in the Alafara area, near NIHORT Iletuntun Shonshon Road, Ibadan.

The fire, which broke out around 7:00 p.m., caused extensive damage, reducing goods worth millions of naira to ashes. The stock, including plastic beverages meant for the festive season, was completely destroyed.

The Oyo State Fire Service responded promptly to the emergency, preventing the fire from spreading further. However, the warehouse contents were beyond saving despite their efforts.

Hon. Innocent, speaking about the incident, expressed gratitude to the fire service team for their swift response, which stopped the fire from causing even greater damage. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
