A massive fire broke out early Saturday at the Sokoto Kara Market, known for grains, essential commodities, and timber products. The blaze started at around 12:30 a.m in the morning. Firefighters have been battling to contain its spread to nearby residential areas.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, but the Sokoto State government has mobilized emergency services to manage the situation and prevent loss of lives. So far, no casualties have been reported.
