A fire has engulfed the Yar-Dole motorcycle market in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, as firefighters battle to curb the inferno.
It was gathered that the fire which broke out on Saturday evening, left traders and residents in shock as several shops and stalls burned uncontrollably.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire, whose cause could not yet be ascertained, spread rapidly through the market which is a major hub for motorcycle and spare parts in the state.
“We don’t know the cause of the fire, we just notice flame from the motorcycle shops, but the fire service is still battling to put it out,” an eyewitness told newsmen.
