A fire outbreak destroyed 36 shops and stalls at Potiskum Central Market in Yobe State on Monday, Eko Hot Blog has learnt.
Officials of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), who visited the scene to assess the destruction caused by the fire, said the cause of the fire is still unknown.

An eyewitness explained that there was a power outage when the fire, which lasted about two and a half hours, broke out.
However, Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has condoled with the victims of the inferno.
Buni directed SEMA to provide immediate support to the traders as they take stock of the damages.
