In celebration of its 17th anniversary, Noah’s Ark Communications Limited partnered with the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) to raise awareness about responsible waste disposal and recycling, Eko Hot Blog reports.
The collaboration, marked by a 5km walkathon in Lagos themed “Recycling in a Plastic World: An Eco Walk,” aimed to emphasize the importance and advantages of recycling within the local community.
Noah’s Ark Communications CEO Lanre Adisa highlighted the significance of the joint venture with LAWMA, stating that the initiative was intended to promote environmental responsibility and educate residents on how they could benefit from recycling practices.
Reflecting on the walk, Adisa characterized the event as a meaningful stride towards fostering a stronger community through shared values of sustainability and ecological consciousness.
The partnership between Noah’s Ark Communications and LAWMA not only serves as an example of corporate social responsibility but also underscores the importance of collaboration between private organizations and government agencies in tackling environmental challenges.
He conveyed gratitude towards the LAWMA, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), and the Nigerian Police Force for their assistance during the waste management awareness event.
