In a bid to curbing sea piracy, oil theft and other criminalities in the Niger Delta Waterways, The MG Vowgas Limited, a fabrication firm is set to build made -in -Nigeria ballistic airboats for use in the country.
This was supported by the research department of the Federal Ministry of Defense.
Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company , Godwin Izomor, disclosed this when participants of the 9 th Practical Nigerian Content, an annual workshop organized by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board ( NCDMB) toured the facilities at the company’ s fabrication yard at Woji , Port Harcourt.

Izomor announced that the firm is also working with Schneider Electric to build switch gears and E-House substations for power generation sector in the country, explaining that the firm will start the fabrication of a modular refinery , skids and offshore loading facility by next year.
He however lamented that the cost of hiring security to safeguard its facilities and its workforce is a major challenge in the industry just like power, which has crippled most businesses.
He called on the Federal Government to quickly fix the problem of power supply and insecurity in the country, which he said, has added to the cost of production , which invariably led to increase of goods.
