The police in Lagos State yesterday arraigned five men before an Ikeja magistrate court in Lagos for allegedly stealing cash and jewelries valued at N125 million belonging to a complainant, Prince Elusanmi, of Park View Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The accused persons are 34-year-old Godson Matthew, 26-year-old Amos Taiwo, 43-year-old Kazeem Adesina, 59-year-old Duyile Adekunle and 30-year-old Musa Madugu, Daily trust reports.

The police prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police N. Peter, told the court that the five men stole wristwatches valued at N90m, gold jewelries valued at N20m and a cash sum of $3,800 (equivalent N15.2m), all totalling N125m.
According to the police, the accused persons committed the offence on December 19, 2019, at about 11pm at No. 13, Alhaji Alade Taiwo Odunewu Street, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi.
The five men pleaded not guilty to the two-count criminal charge levelled against them.
Chief Magistrate Y. O. Aje-Afunwa admitted them to bail in the sum of N5m each, with a witness each and adjourned the case till February 27, 2020 for further hearing.
