Anxiety causes a mess of emotions and still reflects on health. When in excess, it triggers the feeling of unease and prevents you from living life with more lightness and without so much anguish in relation to what is still to come. Gluttony attacks are also credited to it.
There are treatments and therapies to control anxiety, but did you know that food can also help tame this internal hurricane? Some foods contain essential amino acids and vitamins, which act directly on reducing stress, fighting anxiety and increasing levels of serotonin, responsible for well-being and relaxation.
Studies show that certain foods have the ability to improve moods due to the complex compounds present in them.
1. Chocolate
This may not come as a surprise to you. Everyone knows that chocolate can lift our moods and make us happier. But, eating dark chocolate consistently for a fortnight reduces stress hormones, including cortisol, in highly stressed people. This is due to the antioxidant properties of dark chocolate.
2. Eggs
The choline compound present in eggs has been shown to have a number of vital functions, including providing cell membrane function and correct neurotransmission, which can be related to mood and energy states. Eggs are rich in choline. Consuming eggs can increase your control of anxiety and mood and make you more relaxed and happy
3. Pulses
Beans and soya contain loosely digested carbohydrates that help regulate the human neurotransmitter that improves anxiety and mood.
4. Walnuts
Walnuts are one of the foods that end anxiety and are rich in essential fats, which are known to improve cellular health.
