5 Foods You Must Never Take When You Are On Medication

Pharmacists will tell you that there are drugs that you can’t take together. Alcoholics will tell you that there are drinks you can’t mix, or else you will have a hangover, even those in the fashion world, will tell you don’t wear these two, they don’t match.

In the same manner, there are foods you should never eat while taking your medications.

Well, in this article on EKO HOT BLOG, we would be looking at some of these foods you must never take while on medication.

1. Dairy products

Don’t take some dairy products such as milk when you’re using drugs. It can make it difficult for your body to work with the drugs, especially antibiotics. Even though milk is good for the body, it contains some ingredients that can work against the process of some drugs in your body.

2. Alcohol

Don’t drink alcohol while taking drugs. You don’t need any medical expert to tell you this. The chemicals in alcohol will make the drugs that are supposed to cure your sickness less effective. It may even render some drugs useless.

Some drugs take days or weeks before they can effectively perform their work on your body, so don’t even drink alcohol at all while under medication.

3. Coffee

If you are a lover of coffee, please don’t drink it while taking drugs. Coffee contains a lot of caffeine that can interfere with the process of drugs in your body.

4. Citrus fruits

It will interfere with the normal way the fluids in your stomach should react to drugs in your body.

This applies to a lot of drugs because it will make them less effective or hyper-effective, and this will not be good for your body.

5. Chocolates

For ladies and people who like eating chocolates, please avoid eating them whenever you are on medication. It can make some drugs less effective in your body.

The drugs that are supposed to make you sleep so that you can be healed, the chocolate in your system won’t allow you to sleep
