EKO HOT BLOG reports that former Arsenal star Serge Gnabry is set to return to Emirates, reports claimed.
The Gunners have indicated an interest in the 26-year-old who joined the club’s academy from Stuttgart in 2011 as a teenager and played alongside current manager Mikel Arteta.
Although Arsenal could suffer a setback in the bid to bring back the German international because they failed to qualify for the Champions League – both from a financial and sporting perspective – and a reunion this summer is considered unrealistic, particularly with Arteta having other transfer priorities he needs to address first.
Bayern’s honorary president Uli Hoeness confirmed that the German champions had made a ‘great’ offer to Gnabry but he has yet to commit to fresh terms and could be one of a growing list of players to leave the Bavarian club on a free transfer.
‘It’s the same situation as with [Niklas] Sule. I think he has a great offer from Bayern and now has to make a decision,’ he told RTL when asked about Gnabry’s situation.
