Former Enugu SSG, Samson Ukpabi, Is Dead

A former Secretary to Enugu State Government, Prof. Samson Ukpabi, is dead.

Ekohotblog gathered that he died during a brief illness at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu, on Sunday.

Speaking on his death, a family member of the deceased, said he had spoken to the family in the wee hours of Sunday before he died.

The source also noted that Ukpabi had gone for the burial of his cousin on Saturday before he diedon Sunday

Before Prof. Ukpabi’s death, he was the traditional ruler of Okpanku community in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu state.

He was also the former Rector at Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna.

He bagged an honorary appointment as the first Provost of Anambra State University of Science and Technology and Federal College of Education, Eha-Amufu.

Late Prof. Ukpabi was from Enugu State and was married with four children (two boys and two girls).
