Former Kaduna Chief Judge, Justice Tanimu Zailani Is Dead

Former Kaduna State Chief Judge, Justice Tanimu Zailani, has passed away. He died in the early hours of Sunday in Kaduna after a brief illness, as confirmed by family sources.

Justice Zailani led the Kaduna State Judiciary from 2013 until his retirement in 2018, playing a crucial role in the administration of justice in the state.

A family member speaking to Daily Trust stated that the late jurist will be laid to rest after a funeral prayer in his hometown, Rigachikun, located in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

In related news, the Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom, Waheed Ayilara, has also passed away.

It was gathered that Ayilara died early Thursday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.

Ayilara had served as the acting Commissioner of Police in Lagos late last year before being deployed to Akwa Ibom. He underwent prostate cancer surgery on Wednesday but sadly passed away hours later.

Before his deployment, Ayilara served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department and succeeded AIG Idowu Owohunwa as Lagos Police Command’s acting head.
