EKO HOT BLOG reports that the 24th president of Liberia from 2006 to 2018, Madame Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, has deleted the congratulatory message sent to President-elect, Bola Tinubu, after his victory in the just concluded presidential election.
This online media platform recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, winner after polling the highest vote cast in the election.
Sirleaf was among the first world leaders that congratulated Tinubu, on his emergence as President-elect.
She wrote: “Congratulation to @officialBAT on his victory in #Nigeri and to the Nigerian people for exercising their democratic right to vote. Y encourage the new president to champion #womenleades in his government and to ensure that the rights of men & girls remain a priority.”
Ellen has made a u-turn and deleted the congratulatory message.
However, uncertain still remains as to why she deleted the social media post.
