Former Minister Dumps APC For PDP

  • A former Minister of Transport, Ibrahim Isa Bio has defeated from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

Ekohotblog reports that a former Minister of Transport, Ibrahim Isa Bio has defeated from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday.

It was gathered that the former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly decamped to the PDP alongside his supporters at his Gure/Gwasoro Ward in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State.

While welcoming him to the party, the party’s Kwara State Publicity Secretary, Tunde Ashaolu in a statement commended him for taking the bold step to join the party.

“The action reflects the wishes of Kwarans who are tired of the misrule of the Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq led administration. We are pleased to welcome former Minister Ibrahim Isa Bio and his followers into the Kwara PDP family.

“We applaud his voluntary bold and timely decision to dump the retrogressive and dysfunctional APC and pitch tent with our party that is moving from strength to strength,” he said.

Ashaolu also expressed his hope that Bio’s defection would strengthen the party, being a respected community leader and experienced politician.
