Former President Lends his Voice To Capitol Invasion

Former president, Goodluck  Ebele Jonathan, has said nobody’s political ambition is worth the blood of any citizen, in any part of the world.

Eko Hot Blog gathered that the former president’s statement follows the  political invation in Capitol, US, by die hard supporters of President Donald Trump in a bid to stop Joe Biden from being certified as the winner of the November 3 presidential election.

The Former president said “I have repeatedly said nobody’s political ambition is worth the blood of any citizen, in any part of the world. Absolutely nobody. Again, I reiterate that it is better to lose power at the cost of gaining peace, than to gain power at the price of losing the peace.”

In 2015, Jonathan handed  over the mantle of leadership to PMB, and expected Donald Trump to emulate him. However, Trump bluntly refused to concede defeat and has been subjected to criticism.
