Former Senate President, Lawan Loses Mother
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Hajiya Halima Baba Ibrahim, the mother of the immediate past Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan, has died at the age of 86.
Senator Lawan’s mother passed on Saturday at her residence in Gashua town, Bade Local Government Area of Yobe State.
In a statement released by the Media Adviser to the former Senate President, Dr. Ezrel Tabiowo, Hajiya Ibrahim will be buried according to Islamic rites on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Gashua by 11 a.m.

Tabiowo stated that funeral prayers will, thereafter, be said for the deceased at the Gashua Central Mosque, located in the Emir’s Palace.
The statement reads: “Senator Ahmad Lawan appreciates the outpouring of love and support already received from friends, relatives, and colleagues.
