Senior Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader, Baba Siddique, was tragically shot and killed on Saturday in Bandra, Mumbai, by unidentified attackers.
Siddique, a former state minister, was rushed to Lilavati Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

According to police, three assailants fired multiple rounds at Siddique outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office near Colgate Ground in Nirmal Nagar, Bandra East. Despite immediate medical attention, he could not be saved.
Mumbai police have apprehended two suspects in connection with the shooting.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde confirmed that one suspect is from Uttar Pradesh and the other from Haryana, while a third individual remains at large.
