Ambassador Frank Osahon Adu has been elected as the sixth president of the Rotary Club of Lekki Golden.
In his acceptance speech, Adu promised to uphold Rotary’s principles of service, fellowship, integrity, diversity, and leadership. He committed to ensuring that the Rotary Club of Lekki Golden continues to bring kindness and hope to its community, Ekohotblog reports.
District Governor Adenekan reminded Adu of the responsibilities tied to his new position, expressing confidence in his ability to excel. He urged Adu to deliver on Rotary’s seven key focus areas, including community service and development.
Adenekan also encouraged the club to support initiatives like the Rotary Foundation, District Education, Welfare and Endowment Fund (DEWEF), and Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA). He emphasized the importance of growing membership and encouraging members to achieve the status of Paul Harris Fellows through their contributions.
Adu expressed his joy at the opportunity to serve, saying, “I am honored and excited to make a positive impact on humanity and contribute to community service. My goal is to help make the world a better place.”
