Victor Osimhen’s move from Lille to Napoli for a reported €70 million in September 2020 is under the spotlight with the management and business practices of the French club’s former president Gerard Romero having been called into question, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
According to L’Equipe, the Lille prosecutor’s office is closely studying documents related Lopez’s business dealings.
It is alleged that the massive transfer fee paid for Osimhen by Napoli has been caught up in dubious practices where large sums of money have passed between the accounts of Lille and those of various companies linked directly or indirectly to Lopez, according to French publication So Foot.

It is believed that, as a result, only €10 million landed up in the French club’s coffers while the rest of the money has been lost between the intermediaries.
Osimhen, however, has not been named in any wrongdoing, and the 22-year-old Nigerian has adjusted well to life in Naples, scoring 10 goals and assisting a further three strikes in 24 Serie A appearances last season.
