Fresh Tension In Oyo As Amotekun And Herdsmen Trade Blows, 2 Persons Feared Dead
- It’s no longer news that there is no love lost between the Amotekun corps and the Fulani herdsmen.
- They have reportedly clashed on several occasions.
- A new clash between the two has been reported.
According to reports, two persons have been reportedly killed after a Fulani man and an Amotekun corp traded blows at Aba Abugudu Market in the Atisbo Local Government Area of Oyo State.
From the report gathered, the fight led to two members of the Amotekun corps and a vigilante sustaining injuries.
The Amotekun Operatives who were identified as Michael Oguntade and Yekini Tijani alongside the vigilante were injured while they tried separating a fight.
A Fulani man brought out his machete and launched an attack on them.
The state Commandant of Amotekun Corps, Olayinka Olayanju, who confirmed the unfortunate incident, said the security operatives were quickly rushed to the hospital.
As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, The police were said to have recovered two dead bodies but the victims identity are yet to be disclosed.
