From Marrying The Devil To Fathering New Born: Skales Welcomes Child With Wife

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nigerian rapper and singer John Njenga-Njeng, professionally known as Skales, has welcomed his first child with his wife, Precious. The music star announced the news on his Instagram page on Wednesday, expressing his joy over the arrival of the newborn. However, he did not disclose the gender of the child.

Skales, who had previously apologized to his wife for making derogatory remarks about her in a diss track released last year, shared a photo of himself holding the child’s hand.

He captioned the post, “God gave me an amazing pre-birthday gift !!! My mama & God know wetin dem do. Ps; just Dey stream and share all my music… I no fit shout.”

The 31-year-old rapper, born to a Cameroonian father and a Nigerian mother of Edo State extraction, had caused a stir last year when he shared a snippet of an unreleased diss track in which he called his wife unprintable names. Skales had referred to his spouse as “the devil,” claiming that he didn’t know he was married to her.

However, Skales apologized to his wife via social media a few days ago, admitting that he needed to work on his emotional self-control and promising to handle things better in the future. The couple got married in September 2021.

Skales, who rose to fame in 2014 with his hit single “Shake Body,” has released several successful albums and collaborated with various international artists throughout his career. He remains one of Nigeria’s most popular and influential music stars, with a massive following across the country and beyond.
