From UK To Japan: International Communities Give Tinubu His Flowers

  • Several countries, including the UK, US, South Korea, and Japan, have sent letters of support to Tinubu.

  • Representatives from these countries delivered the messages to Tinubu at the presidential villa in Abuja.

  • Tinubu was sworn in as Nigeria’s 16th democratically elected president on the same day.

reports that several countries have sent goodwill messages and letters of support to Nigeria’s newly sworn-in President, Bola Tinubu.

Special envoys and heads of missions from the United Kingdom, United States, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Brazil, South Korea, Israel, Cape Verde, Somalia and Nicaragua delivered the letters to Tinubu.

The UK High Commissioner presented letters from British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, King Charles III, and Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.

Marcia Fudge, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, led the US delegation and had a brief bilateral discussion with Tinubu. Among other delegates, South Korea invited Tinubu to visit the country soon and discussed ways to increase bilateral ties.
