According to Mr. Uchechukwu Wihioka, Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Delta, 590 personnel have been mobilized for the state’s local government elections on March 6.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday, Wihioka said that officers would be deployed to various polling units and roads to ensure that the election went off without a hitch.
He urged politicians to warn their followers against inciting riots, threatening that such actions would be punished.
Wihioka also encouraged young people to be patriotic and contribute their fair share to the country’s growth by participating in elections.
