EKO HOT BLOG reports that Dauran told newsmen in Gusau that the state government was doing everything within its power to ameliorate the problems associated with fuel scarcity, but some filling stations and unpatriotic managers were making things so hard for the masses.
He said a report received by the task force indicated that Abanurat filling station was hoarding the petrol and selling to black marketers in rural areas which is against the agreement reached with the state government.

The chairman said such sharp practices have forced the Taskforce on security to close down Abanurat filling station, along Sokoto Bye-pass road in Gusau, the State capital as the managers of the filling station continued hoarding petroleum products.
“Even the federal government’s owned, NNPC mega station in Gidan man Dinawa area was also caught in sharp practices. I was there personally and met a long queue and even found some motorcyclists sleeping under shades. When I asked them why the filling station was not operating, they said the operators closed the station since around 10am and asked them to wait until 2:30pm” the chairman added.
I then went into the office of the manager to confirm, they said he was nowhere to be found and I asked one of the staff he told me that there was no fuel. I also requested the manager’s contact but they refused to give me”
“So I want to solicit to the task force committee on petroleum and all relevant stakeholders like PTD officials and any organizations delegated to checkmate the activities of the filling stations to take drastic measures and find out the genesis of this unacceptable decision by some filling stations”
