Fuel Subsidy Removal: Abiru Donates More Food Packs To Vulnerable Constituents
Eko Hot Blog reports that Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, has donated food packs to vulnerable constituents.
The senator said the move was aimed at alleviating the economic challenges exacerbated by the removal of fuel subsidy.

The latest donations by the lawmaker also came barely a month after he distributed 6,000 food packs to support those in need, including widows, unemployed youths, the elderly, persons living with physical disabilities, and women.
The food packs consist of items such as spaghetti, macaroni, noodles, garri, semolina, wheat, butter, granulated sugar, groundnut oil, couscous, and packaged snacks.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that beneficiaries for the food packs have been nominated from across the senatorial district, focusing on the widows, unemployed youths, elderly citizens, persons living with physical disabilities, and women who are among the most affected by the economic challenges.
The initiative, launched on Sunday, 25th June 2023, witnessed the distribution of 6,000 food packs to vulnerable constituents in Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Kosofe, and Somolu.
Several collection points were set up across the Lagos East Senatorial District to facilitate the distribution. The next quarter’s distribution is scheduled for September.
Notably, Senator Abiru has a history of providing succour to constituents in need of help.
