Fuji Legend Kollington Ayinla Dismisses Death Rumors, Expresses Gratitude for Support

In a video, the 75-year-old expresses gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu, LASUTH’s Adetokunbo Fabanwo, and others for support during his recent illness, thanking God for divine healing.
Kollington Ayinla, rumored to be in critical health conditions, emphasizes being alive due to God, the governor, LASUTH, and supportive fans.
Born in August 1949, Ayinla, known as Baba Alatika, Kebe-n-Kwara, and Baba Alagbado, hails from Ilota, Kwara State, playing a pivotal role in popularizing Fuji music.
Acknowledging Lagosians, Lagos State government, and LASUTH, Ayinla highlights that only God can save lives, expressing gratitude for the team’s efforts preventing him from “going to the great beyond.”
Despite intense competition with Ayinde Barrister, Kollington Ayinla stood with him at the funeral of Apala star Haruna Ishola in 1983.
Fuji music icons Ayinla and Barrister dominated the genre from the mid-1970s to late ’80s, contributing significantly to its popularity.
