FULL LIST: Nigerians Dominate Top 30 in Africa’s Most Talked About People of 2024

Nigerians dominated the 2024 list of Africa’s Most Talked About People, as compiled by Top Charts Africa.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that 18 Nigerians secured spots in the top 30, according to the recently released rankings on the chart body’s website.

Leading the list is Nigerian singer Wizkid, who has remained in the spotlight throughout the year, partly due to his ongoing feud with fellow artist Davido and the release of his album Morayo.

Kenyan President William Ruto took the second spot. His prominence soared in June when mass protests erupted in Kenya over a tax hike. Following a storming of the Kenyan Parliament, Ruto rejected the tax bill and instead signed the Appropriations Bill 2024 into law to address the resulting budget deficit.
