EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nollywood actress and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deputy governorship candidate in Lagos State, Funke Akindele, has lost her mother.

The news of her passing was announced by Funke’s sister, Olubunmi Akindele, on Tuesday.

In a statement, Olubunmi expressed her sadness at the loss of their mother and stated that she passed away on Tuesday.

However, the cause of her death was not disclosed. Olubunmi prayed for her mother’s soul to rest in peace and informed that the arrangements for honouring her passing will be announced in due course.
