EKO HOT BLOG reports that Funke Akindele, a Nigerian actress and politician, has made a public appeal for support ahead of the upcoming general elections in Nigeria.
Akindele, who is the Lagos State deputy gubernatorial candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP), failed to gain the support of her colleagues in the movie industry due to their political divisions.

Despite this setback, Akindele took to social media to educate her fans on the right way and approach to make a valid vote for her party in the coming election. In a video shared across her social media handles, the award-winning actress emphasized the importance of voting wisely and urged her fans to vote for her party across all positions.
In the video, Akindele was seen passionately appealing to Nigerians to vote for the PDP, saying that the future of the country is at stake.
She captioned the post “The general elections are finally here!! Yes, we’ve all been sensitized on how important it is for us to vote wisely at a time like this, however, it is also imperative that we all are properly educated on how to make our votes count without errors. Your votes in the coming election will determine the future of our great country, Nigeria. So let’s make it count!”
The upcoming general elections in Nigeria are expected to be keenly contested, with a total of 84 million registered voters across the country.
