EKO HOT BLOG reports that Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus has finally made up his mind to leave Man City in the summer transfer window.
He played second fiddle to Sergio Aguero for much of his time at City and is unwilling to fill a similar role once Erling Haaland joins from Borussia Dortmund.
Recall that the options for Man City have been expanded with the signing of Erling Haaland which means Gabriel Jesus will have more limited playing time.
However, it is confirmed that Gabriel Jesus will be leaving Man City this summer with Arsenal linked.
Mikel Arteta wants a new striker that will replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as he is also unsure about the future of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.
Speaking earlier this month Jesus’ agent, Marcelo Pettinati, confirmed he had held talks with Arsenal and his client was impressed with the project Mikel Arteta has committed to.
‘We had discussions with Arsenal about Gabriel Jesus and yes, we like the project,’ Pettinati told Fabrizio Romano.
‘It’s a serious possibility so we’re discussing it.
‘There are six more clubs interested in Gabriel Jesus, he’s now focused on final games with Manchester City, then we’ll see what happens.’
