Recent statistics by World Health Organization (WHO) revealed that an estimated 380,000 people died of Malaria in Africa in 2018, Of these numbers, 25 percent of the total cases were from Nigeria alone.
The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, has wondered why deaths from malaria have not been highlighted as much as the trending reports on coronavirus in Nigeria.
Tweeting on his official, verified handle on Sunday afternoon, Shehu lamented the media in the nation have not reported deaths from malaria enough.
