WARNING: 4 Dangerous Diseases Drinking Garri May Cause

EDITOR’S PICK:

Garri is one of the things we can’t live without; it’s one of the most often consumed staple foods in the country. Garri is simply prepared from cassava, which makes it inexpensive and widely consumed by individuals of various socioeconomic backgrounds.

The health benefits of this fantastic food cannot be overlooked, but the health consequences of taking garri have raised eyebrows.

So in this article on EKO HOT BLOG, we would be looking at some dangerous diseases eating garri regularly can cause.

1. Ulcer

Because of the high quantities of cyanide in the poorly processed cassava, garri can cause ulcers. When cyanide, an organic acid in nature, becomes more concentrated in the colon, it increases the chance of getting ulcers.

2. Eye Defects

In one way or another, you must have heard that eating garri could affect your eye, well, it is not a myth. Garri contains hydrocyanic acid that can cause serious eye defects.

3. High Sugar Level
