EKO HOT BLOG reports that former Manchester United player and Sky Sports pundit, Gary Neville, has criticized Bruno Fernandes for his “disrespectful” and “embarrassing” behavior during Manchester United’s 7-0 loss to Liverpool on Sunday.
Neville was highly critical of Fernandes, who he felt was the worst performer on the pitch, spending most of the second half making petulant challenges, arguing with officials, and losing possession.
Manchester United’s defeat at Anfield was their heaviest ever in the Premier League, with goals from Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo, and Roberto Firmino.
The team’s lackluster performance led to frustration on the pitch, with Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, and Antony also guilty of losing their composure.
In his post-match analysis on Sky Sports, Neville singled out Fernandes for criticism, describing his behavior as a “disgrace” and “embarrassing”.
“Bruno Fernandes stood in the centre circle with his arms raised asking: ‘Why is it me not coming off?’” Neville said. “Honestly, I have to say some of his behavior in the second half has been a disgrace. Second half has been an absolute disgrace, a shambles.”
Neville’s comments come as a blow to Fernandes, who has been one of Manchester United’s key performers since joining the club in 2020.
