He described President Tinubu as a leader whose track record and dedication to national unity deserve full support.
He encouraged the forum to mobilize support for President Tinubu’s administration and his bid for a second term.
The former Speaker emphasized that Nigeria’s progress depends on unity, continuity, and respect for political agreements.
“President Tinubu is not just a leader from the South; he is a national figure who has carried every region along. From major infrastructure to policy reforms, the North is witnessing the impact of a government committed to fairness and shared growth,” Gbajabiamila stated.
He cited ongoing projects in Northern Nigeria including road construction, rail development, and agricultural initiatives as clear signs of the administration’s balanced approach to national development.

“We are building solid foundations, and it is only fair that the President is given the opportunity to complete what he has started,” he added.
National Chairman of the Forum, Hon. Nnanna Igbokwe, praised the Northern Caucus for what he described as a courageous and patriotic move.
“This resolution by the Northern Caucus reflects true leadership that rises above personal or regional interests. I believe other regions will follow this example in the interest of unity and continuity,” Igbokwe said.
Following discussions, the Northern Caucus issued a communiqué endorsing the continuation of the Southern Presidency and supporting President Tinubu’s second term.
The communiqué was jointly signed by Hon. Rufai Chanchangi, Coordinator of the Northern Caucus, and Hon. Atiwurcha, Secretary of the Caucus.
“As stakeholders in nation building, we commit to principles that foster unity and national progress. We uphold the foundational agreement of rotating power between the North and the South. We believe the South should be allowed to complete its tenure.
“The forum is convinced that allowing the incumbent President to complete this cycle serves the North’s long term interests,” the statement declared.
The 2025 Dialogue Session is one of several nationwide consultations organized by the Forum to promote inclusive governance and support a stable democratic transition.
At the conclusion of the session, the Northern Caucus commended the government’s efforts so far but called for greater action to address security challenges, especially in states like Zamfara, Katsina, Plateau, Benue, and Niger.
The forum noted that the dialogue session created an opportunity for former northern legislators to gain clarity on government policies and direction.
While thanking the Chief of Staff for his engagement, the forum encouraged the government to increase its interaction with key stakeholders for improved governance.
