General Irabor Orders Complete Annihilation Of Boko Haram, ISWAP Terrorists

  • The defence chief has ordered the total elimination of Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorist groups.

  • He made the call during a visit to the Joint Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK).

  • According to Irabor, significant advancements are being achieved through collaborative military efforts aimed at reinstating tranquillity in the Northern region.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff on Thursday visited the troops of the Joint Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK).

Irabor commended their gallantry and charged them to eliminate the remaining insurgents terrorising the Northeast region.

The military chief addressed the soldiers at the Theatre Command, Maimalari Cantonment in Maiduguri, capital of Borno State.

“Ensure that the Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists are smoked out from their hideouts,” he said.

The CDS observed there were remnants of terror groups hibernating within Sambisa Forest and the Lake Chad region.

Irabor said huge progress is being made in joint military operations to restore peace in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states.

Meanwhile, troops of the 222 Battalion successfully repelled an onslaught by ISWAP fighters in Ajiri village of Mafa Local Government Area.
