EKO HOT BLOG reports that Fabode shared her testimony during her parents’ 40th wedding anniversary celebration in Lagos over the weekend. She credited her prayers with saving their marriage and maintaining family unity.
Recalling a pivotal moment from her childhood, she said:
“When I was seven years old, my father came to my room and told me, ‘Your mother and I are going our separate ways. I am telling you this so you can decide who you want to live with.’
“I didn’t care much about my parents not living together, but I was deeply concerned about my siblings. I love them dearly, and the thought of us being split apart was unbearable. I knew something had to happen to stop the plan from unfolding.”
Fabode also described her mother’s complex upbringing, from being raised by a British foster parent to later living with her grandmother, father, and stepmother. She explained that her parents’ marriage was more than a union; it became a spiritual battleground where generational curses were confronted and defeated.
The emotional testimony highlighted the strength and resilience of her parents’ relationship, which has endured for four decades.
