Germany To Lift COVID-19 Travel Ban For European Countries

Germany’s Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that the government wants to end a travel warning for tourist trips.

According to him, the travel ban would be lifted for 31 European countries from June 15.

If the coronavirus situation allows, 26 other European Union nations and Britain as well as four non-EU countries in the Schengen passport-free zone (Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein) will be allowed into Germany.

Magazine Focus on Tuesday cited DPA news agency on a report that a verdict on European tourism may be agreed by the cabinet on Wednesday.
