Eko Hot Blog recalls that Atiku, having lost the 2019 presidential elections, which he contested on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), went to the tribunal to challenge the result and victory of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He premised his suit on claims of electoral malpractices in the exercise.
The electoral litigation dragged on up to the Supreme Court before Atiku lost the last hope of turning the election results in his favour. The apex court upheld the victory Buhari as the duly elected president of the nation, saying Atiku could not muster enough evidence to substantiate his claim of electoral fraud.
