Glee Actress, Naya Rivera Confirmed Dead

Glee actress Naya Rivera has been confirmed dead by Ventura County Sheriff, Bill Ayub.

This news comes just hours after the Ventura County Sheriff’s department said that a body had been found at Lake Piru.

During a press conference, Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub confidently said the body they found floating on the surface of the lake on Monday was that of Rivera.

“Based on the location where the body was found, physical characteristics of the body, clothing found of the body and the physical condition of the body, as well as the absence of any other persons reported in the area, we are confident the body we found is that of Naya Rivera,” Ayub said.

Ventura County sheriff had tweeted via Twitter that a body had been found on Monday morning in the lake where glee actress, Naya Rivera went missing.

Rivera was declared missing after her four-year-old son, Josey Hollis, was found alone in a boat on Lake Piru in California on Wednesday afternoon

The 33-year-old actress was said to have arrived at the lake and rented a pontoon boat, taking her son out aboard, but around 4 pm, the ship was found with the child asleep inside but the victim missing and the car still parked at the lake.

Rivera came into limelight after starring as cheerleader Santana Lopez in a reality musical series “Glee”.

She had her son, Josey Hollis, with her ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey, before the couple divorced in 2018, and were granted joint custody.

Meanwhile, co-actors from Glee and fans have penned down tributes for the actress, sharing memories they shared.
