God Should Forgive Me And Others Who Asked Nigerians To Vote For Buhari – Oyinlola
- “God should forgive me and others who asked Nigerians to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015.
The former governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola who alleged to be one of those who asked Nigerians to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 has asked God to forgive him for campaigning for him because everything Buhari promised to do has not been fulfilled till now.
Speaking further, Oyinlola maintained that he did all he could for the emergence of Buhari as the president but he is now sad that the president has failed to fulfil any of his promises, especially his promise to end Boko Haram.
Oyinlola while speaking with BBC Yoruba revealed that Ex-President, Olusegun Obasanjo had earlier warned him from campaigning for Buhari because he knew he wasn’t capable of tackling the issues of insecurity, but he refused and still went ahead to ask Yoruba people to vote for APC in 2015.
In his word, he said, “God should forgive me and others who asked Nigerians to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015.”
According to Oyinlola, insecurity has been one of the major problems that Nigeria has been facing even before President Muhammadu Buhari was elected in 2015. However, after President Muhammadu Buhari was elected, everyone expected the issues of banditry and kidnapping to reduce drastically due to the fact that Buhari was a retired military personnel.
When he was asked about the state of the nation, Oyinlola disclosed that Buhari promised to restructure Nigeria before he was elected, but after he became the president of Nigeria, nothing has been done.

Oyinlola also disclosed that President Buhari promised to end insecurity in the country within six months, unfortunately, he is yet to tackle insecurity 4years after.
Oyinlola said a lot of Nigerians are not happy with the current administration and the President need to do more in the area of security. He urged the President to fulfil the promises he made to Nigerians.
