Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, represented by Commissioner for Youth Development Inuwa Ibrahim, said the government is partnering with security agencies to ensure the corps members enjoy a hitch-free stay.

“Gombe State is peaceful, enjoy your Orientation programme without fear or favour, and rest assured that, the 11 LGAs of Gombe State await to warmly receive you into their fold as the government too, has put in place security measures to ensure your safety, welfare and general well-being,” the governor said.

He admonished the corps members to exercise patience as the government completes work on a permanent orientation camp.

“Exercise a little more patience as in no distant time, the Permanent Orientation Camp at Boltongo will be completed with a magnificent state of art edifice to welcome you to the Jewel in the Savannah,” Yahaya added.

The governor also urged the corps members to avoid vices capable of tarnishing their image and maintain camp rules and regulations.
