The gospel music community has been hit with a tragic loss as beloved singer Aduke Ajayi, widely known by her stage name Aduke Gold, has passed away.
The news of her death was shared by fellow gospel artist Esther Igbekele on social media, where she posted a heartfelt tribute along with Aduke’s photo, captioning it, “A general has fallen. RIP.”
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Aduke Gold’s passing comes just months after the gospel music world mourned the death of another notable singer, Egbin Orun, who passed away on April 28, 2024.
Despite her relatively short time in the spotlight, Aduke Gold made a lasting impact in the gospel music industry.
Her breakthrough hit, “Nitori Ogo” (translated as ‘Because of Glory’), gained widespread recognition, particularly on social media, where it resonated with a growing audience.
