Renowned Nigerian gospel singer, Peterson Okopi, has survived a serious car accident that left his vehicle severely damaged.

The singer took to Instagram on Saturday, May 17, to share images of the incident, showing the front of his car wrecked, with visible damage to the hood and shattered glass. Despite the extensive damage, Okopi confirmed that he came out of the crash unhurt.

In his post, he wrote, “IF NOT FOR THE LORD WHO WAS ON OUR SIDE… Don’t panic, nothing missing, nothing broken.” While he did not disclose the exact location or cause of the accident, the singer expressed gratitude for his safety, which many of his followers have described as an act of divine protection.

Okopi also used the opportunity to remind fans of his upcoming worship concert titled “The Inner Court (Thanksgiving),” scheduled to hold on May 31. He encouraged his supporters to attend the event with open hearts, instruments of praise, and a spirit of thanksgiving.

“Come with your instrument of praise and worship — above all, your heart. We will praise more, and share more! We go harder, and do more in the strength of the Lord,” he added.

The gospel artist, widely admired for his soulful worship songs, continues to inspire a growing audience across Nigeria and beyond with his music ministry.
