EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Diaspora Innovation Institute, on Monday, honoured Ekiti State Gov Kayode Fayemi’s Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Affairs, Femi Odere, with an award of Excellence.

This is as a part of the institutes celebration of its 10th Anniversary,  and a launch of its maiden edition of a Diaspora magazine in Abuja.

The institute also recognised other government functionaries it believes are in the forefront of encouraging their Diaspora for socio-economic development of their states.

Hon. Odere, who is also the National Chairman of States Diaspora Focal Point Officers received his award in what the institute described as his “continued efforts in Diaspora engagement, support services, policy implementation and creating an enabling environment for Diaspora to impact development” in his state.
