Gov. Lalong Recovers From Coronavirus, Tests Negative
Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, has recovered from the coronavirus, a week after he tested positive for the deadly virus.
Eko Hot Blog had reported on December 17 that the Governor tested positive for COVID-19 and went into self-isolation immediately.
Governor Lalong received news of his present status on Wednesday night.
He called on residents of the State to take the pandemic very seriously and observe all protocols to prevent widespread infection and transmission.

While addressing the issue of stigma, Lalong said: “having contacted the virus and undergone treatment myself, I wish to reiterate that COVID-19 is not a death sentence as early detection helps to address it and reduce chances of death.
“We should not stigmatise anyone who tests positive or is suspected of having the disease. Rather, such people should serve as motivation for others to voluntarily test in order to improve the safety of all”.
The Governor however thanked everyone that prayed for his swift recovery.
