Leaders of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Owan West local Government area have pledged their support to Governor Godwin Obaseki second term bid because he is doing what his predecessor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, said he would do.
The APC leaders spoke at a joint press briefing in Bénin City, the Edo State capital.

Special Adviser to Governor Obaseki on Strategic Planning and Programme Management Office, Dr. Uyi Oduwa-Malaka, recalled that Oshiomhole introduces Obaseki as someone who would tackle issues such as carrying out difficult political reforms, blockage of financial leakages, war against hooliganism, institution of a new social order, human capital development and sustain the tempo of infrastructural development.
Dr. Uyi said: “Governor Obaseki has not deviated from those things Oshiomhole said he would do.”
Chairman of Owan West local Government, Mr. Frank Ilaboya, said that all the leaders of the locality have resolved to deliver on the mandate.
A former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon Joe Ekpenkhio, said that Obaseki’s developmental strides have touched all parts of the state.
“From Edo North through Edo Central to Edo South, Obaseki has touched all parts of the state. The development is visible. Look at infrastructure. Roads are being tarred. Industrial park is coming.

“Go to Agenebode, Sobe and Warrake, farmers there are happy. That is why we want to give the second term so that there will be more dividends of democracy. Go to any primary health centres, nurses and doctors are on duty.”
